This policy covers cookies and similar technologies used for website measurement, newsletter engagement and affiliate attribution. See the Privacy Policy for the information involved, providers, purposes and your rights.
Current status
As of 25 October 2026, Google Tag Manager is installed on www.thebettersupplement.com. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load only after you accept optional analytics. You can decline without losing access to the site. Use the Cookie settings button on this page at any time to withdraw or change your choice. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track keep analytics off. Newsletter signup collects email addresses and consent on our private server; no newsletter emails are being sent yet.
Technologies we may use when enabled
- Google Analytics 4: cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits, traffic sources and interactions.
- Microsoft Clarity: first- and third-party cookies and other identifiers to connect visits and interactions for heatmaps and session replay.
- Google Tag Manager: manages tags; cookies and measurement depend on which tags are deployed.
- Newsletter measurement: remote images and tracked links may measure apparent opens and clicks if enabled by the selected email provider.
- Affiliate attribution: retailers and networks may use cookies, referral codes, redirects, pixels and server-side records to connect clicks with qualifying purchases.
- Preference storage: the local-storage entry and first-party preference cookie
tbs-analytics-consent-v1remember your choice for up to 180 days. The cookie also works as a fallback when local storage is unavailable. Closing the initial prompt keeps analytics off and remembers that choice. This preference contains no visitor identifier or browsing history.
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools verification records do not themselves set visitor tracking cookies. Ordinary hosting logs are separate from cookies. Search filters run locally, although a search term included in a URL may appear in request logs or enabled measurement.
On a health-related site, the page or link associated with an identifier can reveal sensitive interests. Masking form fields or removing names does not necessarily hide page topics, search terms or newsletter clicks. See Health-related browsing and sensitive information and U.S. state privacy rights. A newsletter subscription or general cookie choice does not automatically authorize every use or disclosure of health-related data.
Durations and controls
The consent choice lasts up to 180 days. After consent, Google Analytics uses _ga and related measurement cookies; our tag limits their lifetime to 180 days. Microsoft Clarity may use _clck (one year) and _clsk (one day). Withdrawing consent stops the tags on the reloaded page and removes their first-party cookies. Cookie lifetime differs from retention of previously collected information. See Microsoft’s cookie list and Google’s cookie information.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser. The current GA4 and Clarity loader also skips loading when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is enabled. Browser protections and cookie deletion may not stop all tracking, including affiliate link parameters and server-side attribution. Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on applies to Google Analytics, not to other providers.
Newsletter unsubscribe controls affect email subscriptions separately from website cookies. Retailer and affiliate-network sites have their own policies and controls. You can visit a retailer directly instead of using our affiliate link.
