Compounds
Named actives that are not vitamins, minerals, herbs, or gut preparations—organized by what the label actually contains.
Compounds is a broad category for supplement ingredients that do not fit neatly under vitamins, minerals, whole herbs, or gut preparations. It includes amino acids, fatty acids, proteins, substances the body makes during normal metabolism, concentrated plant compounds, enzymes, and a small number of hormone products. These ingredients do not all work in the same way. They are grouped here to make them easier to find. The exact name, form, and amount still matter because two compounds that sound related may have very different uses, evidence, and safety concerns.
